On August 2006 at the Louvre Museum, Paris, Samsung launched its new ultra design cellphone, the Samsung Z370, the slimmest 3G cellphone in the world. The model uses bar design similar to its previous cellphone, Samsung X820, the world slimmest cellphone. With only 8.4mm in thickness, Samsung Z370 is definitely the world slimmest 3G cellphone. Its weight is only 71g, a bit heavier than X820 with 66g. To support 3G, Samsung equipped this cellphone with dual camera. The primary camera at the back with 2MP resolution and secondary camera at the front with VGA resolution so you can have a video conference with others.

The screen on Samsung Z370 is quite large, 1.9inches with 176 x 220 pixels. This slim cellphone already support MP3/AMR/ACC/ACC+ files. But too bad, it doesn’t have FM radio application. But still, you can hear your favorite songs through its MP3 player. This cellphone is equipped with only 20MB internal memory, not as much as Samsung X820 with 80MB internal memory. Samsung D900 is also a slim cellphone with only 12.9 mm thickness. This cellphone works on quadband network (GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900).

Just like the Samsung D500 and D600, D900 also has TV output connection so you can have your presentation on the cellphone shown on TV. With 60 MB embedded memory plus microSD (TransFlash) as external memory, you don’t have to worry about saving important data in your cellphone. To transfer your data, you can use Bluetooth or USB port. There’s no infrared port for D900.

Introducing the world slimmest cellphone from Samsung, the Samsung X820. With only 6.9 mm thickness, this is definitely the world slimmest cellphone. On May 2006, Samsung introduce its ultra design cellphone series. One among the ultra design series is the Samsung X820. The overall size is 113 x 50 x 6.9 mm, with only 66g in weight. Very thin and very light cellphone indeed.

Like an old saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover”, you shouldn’t underestimate the Samsung X820. Although the size is very thin, this cellphone is loaded with top features that you may not found in other similar cellphone. The Samsung X820 is already equipped with a 2MP camera (1600x1200 pixels). The TFT screen can display 256K colors. It also has 80 MB internal shared memory. But it doesn’t support external memory. Since the size is very thin, it can’t support any port for external memory. 80 MB internal memory is quite big if you don’t have any large size data to be saved. The X820 can save up to 1000 phonebook.
